A: No, Herring Ridge guarantees exclusive use of the facility to Jam Campers during the duration of Jam Camp. There are several porches and other places to jam so you do not disturb anyone sleeping as well.
Q: If I travel with my spouse, what can they do while I'm at Jam Camp?
A: Herring Ridge has some great trails for hiking and biking and fishing equipment can be made available to you. Also, there are plenty of areas just to relax and read a book or enjoy the wildlife. We are located within an hour of the Blue Ridge Parkway and Boone, NC (shopping, culture, etc.)

A: Yes, we have wireless access in the dining hall at all times.
Q: What is Jam Camp spectator etiquette?
A: Class sessions are only open to students. During class jam times, spectators may be welcome to listen from a distance provided they are not causing any distractions to students. After class is done for the day you are welcome to be a part of a jam session as a spectator or participant.
Q: My family will be staying with me and/or coming for meals, but not participating in Jam Camp. How will this work?
A: For breakfasts and dinners, people are welcome to dine with whomever they like whether they are a Jam Camper or not. During lunches Jam Campers will dine together as a group to have valuable “shop talk” and time with instructors. All other guest will have separate tables for dining. Please give Herring Ridge as much prior notice about meals as possible. Prices for people without a meal package: $12/meal.
