Sportsman Adventure

Designed for those children that love fishing and hunting and want to know more

Launching in 2012, our Sportsman Adventure will teach campers the basics of fishing and hunting techniques. This program will introduce children aged 8-16 to the core skills, safety techniques and confidence needed to enjoy these sports for a lifetime.

Campers will learn the basics of fishing and hunting techniques at their private 25-acre lake front base camp in the woods. To capitalize on prime hunting and fishing hours campers will rise with the sun and cross the lake to begin their outdoor adventures. Our natural mountain setting is the perfect backdrop for our skilled instructors to teach both animal habitat and conservation to preserve our environment for future generations.

This program is an educational introduction to sport fishing and hunting designed to instill confidence and environmental awareness in young enthusiasts. Specialized counselors provided the safe and instructive environment for all the activities, leading small groups of campers through the rifle range, clay target shooting and archery range- there might event be a friendly competition thrown into the mix.

It takes outdoor skills, techniques and confidence in your sportsman abilities to achieve success and to comfortably enjoy the outdoor experience. It is our goal that campers leave this adventure with an appreciation for the beauty of wildlife and take an active role in ensuring that wildlife habitat is preserved for generations to come.

Campers will practice their new skills every morning and every afternoon get the opportunity to participate in traditional camp water activities.
