Counselor in Training
The CIT program is for campers who are rising high school juniors that are interested in the possilbility of working as a Camp Harrison counselor in the future. Campers in the CIT program live in a cabin of younger campers with a minimum of two supervising counselors (one senior counselor, one junior counselor). Their main responsibility in the cabins is to assist counselors with the younger campers at bed times, meal times, shower and devotions. As the CIT becomes more adept at working with campers, he/she can take on a more active role of leadership in the cabin.
CITs also have the opportunity to work with several different age groups during the course of their stay. The are trained in various program areas and may be asked to help teach some activities in these areas. CITs participate in daily developmental meetings together as a group allowing them to share learning experiences and to get advice from the CIT Director. The CIT campers have some time during their stay where they have the opportunity to participate in activities as regular campers.

- Possess a keen interest in developing leadership potential
- Have a geniune love for children
- Be willing to grow physically, mentally, and spiritually
- Be in good physical and mental health

Cost
$3000
A deposit of $440 is due with the CIT camper application. All balances are due by May 1, 2010.
CITs must complete all of the forms within the application process to be considered for the program.
